An Overview of the Role, Requirements & Responsibilities of the Supervisor of Assisted Living Services Agency (SALSA)

This comprehensive education opportunity is specific to the role of the RN supervisor of the Assisted Living Services Agency. This two-day course will include instruction and review of the service coordination, nursing requirements, role of the aide, resident assessment regulations, service plans and program quality assurance. There will also be a focus on leadership development.

Class size limited to 20 attendees.

Day One Agenda:
•  Introduction of MRC and ALSA
•  SALSA definition and role
•  Staffing requirements and roles
•  On-Call
•  RCA role and regulatory requirements
•  Survey and licensing
•  Definitions listed in State regulations
•  Bill of Rights
•  Ombudsman Program
•  Assessments and Clinical Service Plans
•  Regulatory reporting

Day Two Agenda:
•  Coordination of care
•  Employee requirements
•  Service Coordinator requirements and responsibilities
•  Annual in-services/Education
•  Resident record
•  Quality Assurance
•  Governing authority

•  A certification of course completion from LeadingAge Connecticut will be available at the end of the program.
