It’s the final countdown to MDS changes effective 10/1/23! Providers can still prepare! Join this session to breakdown the critical details – who, what, when, where, and why – of the MDS 3.0 version 1.18.11.

Significant changes included in the MDS will also change case mix methodologies, impacting SNF Medicaid reimbursement. The State of Connecticut recently announced, Connecticut SNFs will need to complete an additional MDS assessment, the Optional State Assessment (OSA) MDS, to obtain a RUG calculation for Medicaid reimbursement.

Join this session to learn what you can do now, to position your facility to be successful on October 1. Attendees will leave this session with actionable steps to put into operation.

Objectives
• Identify significant changes to the MDS 3.0 version 1.18.11 and impacts on Medicare and Medicaid revenue.
•  Examine changes to interdisciplinary processes required to capture new MDS items, and detail strategies to implement now.
•  Review of the OSA MDS item set.
