Third Tuesday of Every Month Starting January 17th thru June 20th

Over the course of six months, this series will provide a forum for discussion on industry hot topics for Administrators in 2023. Format will include presentation and group discussion forum with opportunity to pre-submit questions and scenarios based on actual facility issues and concerns. An online networking forum is available to attendees for topical discussion.

JANUARY 17
Avoiding Facility Assessment Failure
This session will provide an overview of the facility assessment process and how to use the facility assessment to guide facility operations. You will learn what must be included in your facility assessment and how it impacts your overall facility operation, as well as potential survey and enforcement implications for insufficient facility assessment completion.

FEBRUARY 21
Survey School in Session
This session will review major current survey trends across the nation with an emphasis on specific strategies for successfully managing the survey process & responding to negative survey outcomes. Emphasis will be on the top tags for annual and complaint surveys with extensive examination of Immediate Jeopardy citations.

MARCH 21
ABCs of QRP & VBP
This session will review the ins and outs of the SNF Value Based Purchasing (VBP) & Quality Reporting Program (QRP). Emphasis of this session will be on the impact of VBP and QRP on facility operations with strategies for developing an action plan to guide successful outcomes.

APRIL 18
Easing Workforce Woes
This session will provide an overview of the current workforce demographics and trends, as well as innovative and proven methods to address workforce challenges. Actionable steps and ideas to inform recruitment and retention strategies will be discussed.

MAY 16
LTC Litigation Briefing
This session will review key strategies to avoid litigation in long term care facilities. We will review common reasons why residents and families sue and discuss strategies to reduce law suits. Additionally, it will include a discussion on the use of facility arbitration agreements.

JUNE 20
A Day in the Life of an Awesome Administrator
This session will provide an overview of certain daily responsibilities and expectations as we take a look at a day in the life of a Administrator.
