Overlooked and Misdiagnosed? COVID-19 Skin Manifestations Webinar

Friday, January 28, 2022
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Target Audience: DONs, MDS Coordinators, Staff Nurses, Wound Care and Infection Control Nurses

The SARS-CoV-2 viral infection causes a wide variety of skin symptoms that may be overlooked, discounted or misdiagnosed. As such, the opportunity for early cohorting (to prevent the spread of the infection) and treatment may be lost. The purpose of this program is to:

  • Create an awareness of the silent skin manifestations related to COVID-19
  • Assist the clinician in distinguishing between skin manifestations related to COVID-19 and similar-looking etiologies, such as shingles, deep pressure ulcers/injuries and peripheral arterial disease
  • Provide helpful documentation considerations for wounds that develop as a result of, or are stalled in their healing trajectory due to COVID-19 residual effects
  • Discuss long COVID skin issues

Program pricing:
LeadingAge Connecticut members and subscribers $50
Non-members $100

Registration is a commitment to pay in full and the deadline to register is the January 26th.

1.0 CT NHA CEU's will be available to attendees.

Registration is for one computer login access per webinar.
