Competency and Communication, Crucial Success for ROP Compliance Webinar
Tuesday, August 19, 2025
1:00pm – 2:00pm (EST)
A webinar presentation in partnership with LeadingAge Pennsylvania
In meeting the requirements of Phase Three of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS’) Final Requirements of Participation (ROP), facilities must reevaluate communication efficiency and competency surrounding quality, safety, and compliance. With this heightened focus and the need to ensure all staff members are educated, it's vital to determine competency and verify that processes and requirements are understood and followed.
This session will provide an overview of the requirements, programming ideas, and establish basic building blocks for competent staff that will contribute to meeting the safety/needs of the residents and promoting their rights and wellbeing. We will explore ways to empower staff as well as review barriers that may hinder those efforts.
