Aug 7- Abuse & Neglect Policies and Training Compliance This session will review the key components to include in the facility Abuse and Neglect Policy and the critical elements and frequency for training compliance. • Review the regulatory required components for the facility Abuse and Neglect policy. • Discuss the critical elements and frequency for Abuse training compliance. • Identify tips and strategies for successful Abuse training implementation. Aug 14- Abuse & Neglect Reporting Requirements This session will review the Abuse and Neglect Reporting Requirements and demonstrate tools that can be used for this purpose. • Be familiar with the regulatory requirements for reporting Abuse and Neglect. • Identify tools that can be used for reporting Abuse and Neglect. • Identify tips and strategies for facility compliance with reporting of Abuse and Neglect. Aug 21- Capacity to Consent to Sexual Activity This session will review the regulatory requirements for determining capacity to consent to sexual activity and will discuss tips and strategies for how to determine and document this information. • Understand the regulatory requirements for determining capacity to consent to sexual activity. • Become familiar with methods for determining capacity to consent to sexual activity. • Identify tips and strategies for documentation of capacity to consent to sexual activity. Aug 28- Investigating Allegations of Abuse This session will review the regulatory requirements for investigating allegations of abuse and will discuss tips and strategies for how to document this information. • Understand the regulatory requirements for investigating allegations of abuse. • Identify tips and strategies for conducting a through abuse investigation. • Become familiar with tools for documenting abuse investigations. Sept 4- Abuse Incident Response & Management This session will review the regulatory requirements for responding to allegations of abuse and will discuss tips and strategies for how to effectively manage and document that response. • Understand the regulatory requirements for responding to allegations of abuse. • Identify tips and strategies for effectively managing response to allegations of abuse. • Become familiar with tools for documenting abuse allegation response and management.
Sept 11- Retrospective Study of Abuse & Neglect IJ Deficiencies & Plans of Correction This session will review past cited IJ deficiencies for abuse and neglect and the Plans of Correction for those deficiencies. Discussion will include tips and strategies for beset practices for prevention of the cited tags. • Become familiar with abuse and neglect deficient practices that result in an immediate jeopardy. • Identify PoC interventions for addressing abuse and neglect deficiencies. • Understand best practice strategies for preventing abuse and neglect citations.
