Founded in 1961, LeadingAge Connecticut is a membership organization representing not-for-profit and mission driven nursing homes, residential care homes, senior housing, continuing care retirement communities, adult day centers, home care agencies and assisted living communities. In its vision to empower not-for-profit and mission driven organizations to optimize choices for successful aging, LeadingAge Connecticut serves as Connecticut's resource for advocacy, membership enhancement and promotion of public awareness on behalf of not-for-profit and mission driven providers pursuing excellence in serving older adults.

Provider members of LeadingAge Connecticut may be any not-for-profit, voluntary or government-sponsored organization providing housing or care for the aging. Provider affiliate members are mission driven providers of aging services who commit to the LeadingAge Quality First principles.
