Our Vision

LeadingAge Connecticut promotes and advocates for a vision of the world in which every community offers an integrated and coordinated continuum of high quality, affordable health care, housing and community based services.

Founded in 1961, LeadingAge Connecticut is Connecticut's leading membership association of not-for-profit and Quality First aging services organizations. Our 130+ provider members and our business affiliate members serve thousands of older adults every day in settings across the continuum of aging services, supports, and housing. LeadingAge Connecticut members are diverse, but share a common focus on person-directed living, missions of service to their communities and choice in older adult services.

Committed to excellence and to innovation, LeadingAge Connecticut is recognized for expertise in aging services issues related to long term care, senior housing and supportive services. Through effective grassroots advocacy, cutting edge information, progressive providers, and public information aimed at increased consumer awareness, LeadingAge Connecticut is dedicated to creating the future of aging services.

Our Mission

LeadingAge Connecticut is an association dedicated to advancing the quality of services and care for older adults and chronically ill individuals in the setting of their choice by leading, educating, representing, advocating and servicing its members who are mission-driven, not-for-profit providers representing the continuum.

Our Membership

LeadingAge Connecticut membership includes not-for-profit and mission-driven providers of housing, care, services, and support for older adults and chronically ill individuals in both the home and community. Our members and subscribers include skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, residential care homes, chronic disease hospitals, life plan communities, adult day centers, assisted living communities, home health care agencies and senior housing communities.
