Livable Communities Initiative

Connecticut for Livable Communities is an initiative of Connecticut’s Legislative Commission on Aging, a nonpartisan, public policy and research office of the Connecticut General Assembly, charged with improving the quality of life for older adults of today and tomorrow. American Medical Directors Association (AMDA)

AMDA offers a certification program for long-term care medical directors, detailed explanations of nursing home quality measures for consumers, and continuing education for medical directors and attending physicians.

New England Quality Innovation Network- Quality Improvement Organization (NE QIN-QIO)

Beginning August 1, 2014, Livanta, the Beneficiary and Family Centered Care Quality Improvement Organization (BFCC-QIO), will conduct all beneficiary quality review cases, appeals and complaints in Connecticut. These changes are part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) program transformation effort.  CREATE A LINK  is a bulletin from Livanta BFCC-QIO outlining the changes to the QIO Program related to medical case reviews.
