Staffing, Stress and Surviving the Day-to-Day Challenges of a Pandemic Webinar Wednesday, June 17, 2020 As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, staffing shortages are commonplace due to healthcare providers' (HCP) exposures, illness, or need to care for family members at home. Healthcare facilities must be prepared for potential staffing shortages and have plans in place to mitigate these, including communicating with HCP about actions the facility is taking to address shortages and maintain patient and HCP safety. Part of the mitigation plan should be to provide resources to assist HCP with anxiety and stress. About the Speaker: Pam Campbell's career spans more than 25 years in post-acute care. Throughout her career, she has held a number of positions ranging from clinician to Director of Nursing in both free standing as well as hospital-based skilled nursing facilties. She has served as a consultant in long-term care for hospital systems as well as clinical consultant and software designer for MDS Software vendors including SNF, Assisted Living and Infection Control. Pam is currently the Market Insights Specialist for PointClickCare. |
