This session is part of an 8-week webinar series emphasizes skill building for the Post-Acute Care Infection Preventionist with a focus on establishing and managing an effective IPC program in the SNF/LTC/AL setting. This session will discuss IP’s role in incorporating cleaning and disinfecting practices into the facility IPC program.

Projected Learning Outcomes/Course Objectives: At the conclusion of each session, the learner will:

1. Describe the role of environmental surfaces in the transmission of pathogens

2. Describe recommended practices for cleaning and disinfecting environmental surfaces

3. Describe how to incorporate recommended practices into the facility IPC program
